Wet Bags are zippered, reusable cloth bags with a waterproof inner. They can be used to contain any type of wet mess. They work great for bringing home soiled cloth diapers and they even contain odors too! You can use them for many things other than just diapering. We used ours daily during swimming lessons to bring home wet swim trunks. With Wet Bags we discovered a versatile option for keeping our wet and messy items contained on the trip home.

General Wet Bags Information
Wet bags are the perfect solution for pocket diapering on the go. We carry a wet bag in our diaper bag and car at all times. When a diaper is soiled, simply place it inside the wet bag, zip the bag up and forget about it until you get home. The wet bag is waterproof and keeps odors where they should be, inside the bag. Once you are home, the idea is similar to the diaper pail liner; empty the wet bag into the washing machine and then throw it in to be washed too. The main difference between a wet bag and a pail liner is that wet bags come in all different fun prints and various sizes and they close with a zipper. Whammies Wet Bags have a sewn in tab on the inside. This tab can be used to help battle stink by placing a couple drops of essential oil.
Wet bags also work great to carry chilled lunches or drinks, as a cold pack for ouches, or for bringing home wet clothes and swimsuits. We have also just discovered using the Mini size as a camera case. It is water resistant and not bulky like a standard camera case.
Wahmies Sizing: Wahmies are available in three sizes Regular (13x15”), Mini (7x9”) and All Day (16x20”). We only carry the Regular and Mini sizes since those are the two size that we have experience with. We’ve used the Regular size to carry home 2-3 diapers and wipes or to bring home a diaper and a soiled outfit or wet swimsuit. The Mini we use more to contain tiny things inside a big bag and also to always have on hand “just in case”. It will hold a soiled diaper and insert if they are rolled and it works great for traveling with damp cloth wipes.

Materials: PUL inner and cotton print outer The inner is only sewn to the outer at the top where the zipper is. This helps to prevent wicking of moisture onto the cotton outer.

Leaks: We did have slight wicking onto the print outer when I forgot a drenched swimsuit in a backpack for a few days. Nothing else in the backpack was wet but the outer was damp.
Washing: Easy, no special needs & no staining. They can be washed right along with diapers or in a regular load of clothing.
